The Bateleur Fund 1 Partnership (“the fund”) is a flexible hedge fund targeting high net worth individuals, institutions and hedge fund of funds. The investment objective of the fund is to generate returns in excess of inflation over the medium to longer-term whilst placing a high premium on protecting investors’ capital.
The fund is a long/short fund with a directional bias and is predominantly focussed on South African equities.

Bateleur MN Fund Partnership
The Bateleur MN Fund Partnership (“the fund”) is a market neutral hedge fund targeting high net worth individuals, institutions and hedge fund of funds. The investment objective of the fund is to generate returns in excess of cash returns on an annual basis at low levels of volatility.
The investment selection process centres on in-house driven relative value quantitative modelling overlaid with fundamental research.

Bateleur Flexible Fund
The Bateleur Flexible Fund (“the fund”) was established under the Collective Investment Schemes Controls Act, 2002. The fund is targeted at high net worth individuals and institutions. The fund is classified as a Domestic Asset Allocation – Flexible Fund. The investment objective of the fund is to generate returns in excess of inflation over the longer term whilst retaining a focus on protecting investor capital. The rules of the Collective Investment Scheme Controls Act do not permit certain investment techniques, such as shorting, that can be employed in hedge funds.
